Whether or not your business works in school terms there is always a bit of ‘going back to school’ feeling in September. As I write this the last few mornings have definitely been autumnal with mists and a chill in the air.
So at this time, just a reminder about a couple of key updates, particularly linked to safeguarding.
Firstly, I get lots of queries on courses about sharing information and Safeguarding. I’ve mentioned this before, but I think it is worth mentioning again. There is really good update from the Information Commissioners Office to be found here. Although this focuses on the children workforce many of the principles can be related to adult safeguarding too.
In case you haven’t seen it, there is a useful update from the DfE to be found here.
As planned, the Government updated Keeping Children Safe in Education as schools restarted.
The sad events in Southport this summer reminds us that it’s always important to keep legislation, guidance and the accompanying training to date. I know a few clients contacted me as a result of news coverage and we were able to spend some time revising risk assessments and safeguarding processes.
If I can be of any more support… please get in touch. If you would like a particular training developing to meet the needs of your organisation whether safeguarding …risk assessment… Please do get in touch.
