Celebrating 10 Years of Jill Webb Training: Growth, Adaptation, and Heartfelt Thanks

This month marks a very special milestone for us – 10 years of Jill Webb Training (JWT). It’s a moment that brings with it a lot of gratitude, reflection, and immense pride. When I started JWT in 2015, I had no idea what the next decade would bring. What I did know, though, was that I wanted to create training that was practical, engaging, and genuinely useful for individuals and organisations looking to develop and learn. I wanted to really listen to my clients and develop training they need not just one size fitted all! That core mission hasn’t changed – but a lot else certainly has!

From Kitchen Table to National Delivery

What began as a few face-to-face sessions quickly grew, primarily through the power of word-of-mouth. Over time, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to develop a loyal network of learners, partners, and organisations who share and believe in our core values.

As JWT continues to grow, so does our offering. Today, we provide a wide range of accredited and bespoke training courses across vital subjects, such as safeguarding, first aid, and working with families. Beyond that, we also support organisations with crucial areas like GDPR implementation, food safety training, leadership development, and staff wellbeing.

In addition to delivering training, we also provide consultancy and support for systems and quality assurance processes. From helping a Church of England Diocese streamline safeguarding procedures to conducting audits and supporting improvement planning with organisations and charities, we’ve loved working alongside teams to build robust, sustainable structures that underpin their success. This side of our work continues to grow and reflects our commitment to helping organisations, and professionals, function as effectively as possible.

Adapting Through COVID – and Beyond

Like many businesses, the year 2020 tested our resilience. The pandemic shut down in-person training overnight, but we didn’t just stop – we adapted, and we did so quickly. We swiftly rolled out Zoom sessions, developed dynamic blended learning options, and invested significantly in accessible, high-quality e-learning materials. Looking back, this period was one of the most challenging, yet ultimately most rewarding, times in JWT’s history. The incredible feedback from learners during that time truly kept us going, reinforcing just how valuable flexibility and accessibility are in modern training.

Today, blended training is a fundamental and much-loved part of our offer. Whether it’s safeguarding, paediatric first aid, or working with families, our aim is always to meet learners where they are. We firmly believe that training should support your work – not make it harder.

    A True Family Effort

Jill Webb Training has genuinely never been just me. Over the past decade, my family has supported JWT in so many ways. From managing bookings to troubleshooting tech issues, they’ve helped keep things running behind the scenes. In fact, I’m fairly certain every single family member, from youngest to oldest, has at one point become a part-time administrator, an impromptu IT helpdesk, or at the very least, a patient soundboard for my latest training ideas! And to all the wonderful friends and colleagues who have delivered, designed, tested, proofread, and championed our work – thank you. JWT simply would not be here without your dedication. My behind the scenes admin and web support (Julie and David) have also been invaluable.

I’m also incredibly proud to work with a trusted team of associate trainers. Their diverse knowledge, unwavering professionalism, and infectious passion mean we can deliver a wide range of impactful courses to meet critical sector needs across the entire UK.

    Looking Ahead

As we gratefully move into our second decade, we remain steadfastly committed to delivering training that is practical, inclusive, and always up to date. We’re excited to be working on new training, expanding our partnerships, and continuing to listen intently to feedback from those we work with every day. If you’re reading this and have ideas for how we could collaborate or develop in the future – please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

    Thank You

To every single learner who’s joined a session, bravely asked a question, generously shared feedback, or kindly recommended us to a colleague – thank you. It’s been an absolute joy and a privilege to work with you all. Here’s to the next 10 years of learning, growing, and supporting those who support others.

    Warm wishes, Jill X
