Jill Webb Training: Associates

Team image

I am pleased to introduce my Associates who support my organisation by delivering courses, offering consultancy and behind the scenes. I have known and/or worked with my team for a number of years. This means that I can match their areas of expertise with my clients' bespoke requirements.

In line with Jill Webb Training policies, all Associates are safely recruited. They also have a commitment to on-going continual professional development ensuring their knowledge is both relevant and up to date. Samples from feedback received from clients can be seen here.

To ensure that high quality training and support are delivered, all the associate trainers commit to keeping their professional development up to date. We meet regularly as teams working on different project to review and share learning. Every trainer is observed at least once a year, and if assessment is part of their role they take part in a full Internal Quality Assurance programme.

The team look forward to working with you face to face in West Yorkshire, or further afield or by Zoom.

In no particular order my Associates are:

Greg Dunnings

Greg DunningsMy name is Greg Dunnings and I am a fulltime firefighter and trauma instructor for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service.

I have 14 years of practical first aid experience within the armed forces, security sector and public sector.

After a serious incident whilst serving in Afghanistan in 2009, I was required to administer first aid on myself and this is what sparked my interest in first aid as I realised that when I needed to know it, I was glad that I did.

I am passionate about teaching and I look forward to seeing you on a course soon.

Lisa Clark

Lisa Clark My name is Lisa Clark and my career background is enjoying forty years as a Nurse.

I have worked in a variety of roles commencing my vocation as Nurse Practitioner to more latterly as a Senior Health Visitor where I took the lead in Safeguarding vulnerable babies and children and training student Nurses and student Health Visitors. Although now semi retired, I still enjoy working within immunisation clinics.

As a volunteer, I have been a Sunday School Teacher for in excess of twenty years and working in my local Anglican Church as a Pastoral Minister. This has provided me with valuable experience in working and training 'hard to reach' and vulnerable groups.

I’m pleased to be offering training with Jill in my speciality of safeguarding. I look forward to meeting you.

Paul Cairns

Paul CairnsI have been teaching first aid for the last 6 years and gained much of my training experience working in the education sector in a career that spanned 25 years.

This work has taken me to numerous countries around Europe including Slovenia and Croatia where the teaching was delivered using interpreters (big learning curve!).

I also offer support for groups of learners returning to work so do let me know if I can help with this!

Julie Wright

Julie WrightI have enjoyed working with Jill for in excess of 30 years when we first met though our mutual interest of volunteering with Girlguiding, organising twice annual training days for guiding members of the West Yorkshire County.

It’s been a joy assisting Jill with her marketing and administration requirements since the inception of Jill Webb Training and seeing at first hand, how, through her hard work, commitment, experience and expertise her business has flourished and developed.

I look forward to extending my support to her Associates in all their training requirements in the future.

Gaye Colleran

Gaye ColleranHello, my name is Gaye Colleran and I work as an independent training consultant as an Associate of Jill Webb Training.

After being a stay-at-home mum for many years, I gained my childcare qualifications.

Working firstly hands on with 0 – 5-year-olds I moved into management while also completing my adult teaching and Assessor qualifications and taught part time in the local college.

For several years I worked with the Local Authority training team with responsibility for training childcare practitioners and teachers in Safeguarding, PSED and the EYFS before moving into Children’s Centres where I managed several centres in a culturally diverse community with high levels of deprivation.

I have a counselling qualification and a wealth of practical experience of safeguarding, child protection and family support work which supports my work as a trainer.

Alison Gordon

Alison GordonI am an experienced learning and development professional with significant management experience.

I have worked extensively with businesses and the third sector organisations assisting them with strategic and operational development of people and processes.

My areas of specialty include development, facilitation and co-ordination of learning and development programmes, strategic and operational planning, business, management and interpersonal skills training delivery.

As a senior leader within Girlguiding, I have worked on a voluntary basis to manage complex safeguarding situations.

As a frequent mentor for those new to management she offers trust, confidentiality and helps individuals develop their potential.

Jeff Trigg

Jeff TriggAfter over 30 years in the teaching profession, including 12 years as head teacher of a primary school, I ‘retired’ to have time to be more involved with voluntary activities in the local community.

As a head teacher, I was the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the school. I regularly led staff safeguarding training dealt with several safeguarding cases (DSL)working closely with other agencies.

This experience has supported my current role where I am the DSL for a canal boat charity based in my hometown. The charity primarily provides day trips for disabled children and young adults, and groups from local care homes.

Having seen positive outcomes from the implementation of effective safeguarding policy, I am keen to work closely with others to develop excellent practice.

Hilary Cooper

Hilary CooperI live in the North East of England on the coast near Newcastle on Tyne.

I have had a very long career in Primary Education in Tyneside, Sunderland and Durham. During this time I was a Headteacher for over 20 years and acted as Designated Safeguarding Lead in both schools where I was in a Headship role.

When I think of the lack of training available when I started these roles it frightens me how decisions were taken and retrospectively it is easy to see why bad decisions did happen. This experience is why I am now so committed to ensuring everyone has good safeguarding training and the best possible preparation for their roles.

Currently I am Chair Of Governors for a local primary school and a part time education tutor for the University of Buckingham. In a voluntary capacity I am a leader in Girlguiding and this youth work has been at the core of my life outside of work.
